Do you beleive kids can sense things?

I'm not usually all superstitious or religious but I do think kids can sense things that adults cannot. Like good people vs. bad, evil, somethings wrong etc. This week was kinda proof. DuH and I have been having a rough week but we have been trying to act like everything is normal around Ayd. Well every morning this week he has folded his hands together and says "jesus my dad dada help" aka my "Jesus my dad needs help" I thought he was just babbling like normal but then this morning he folded his hands and starts again with "jesus dad dada help" but then adds "mommy hurt help dad dada no hurt mommy". I thought I was holding it together in front of him but somehow he knew that I have been hurting all week and it was daddy's fault.
So I was curious what other think about children sensing these kinda things?

  • I do! My youngest is able to pick up on good vs. bad people really well and he's 2.5.

  • Children and pets are way more sensitive to things than we are. I can't hide anything from my kids (10 yo DD, 20 yo DS) never could.
