  • We did a digital camera and Littlest Pet Shops when our daughter turned 8.

  • My daughter loves Hannah Montana, but iCarly and the Jonas Brothers are popular amongst that age group also.

  • My daughter just turned 9 - we got her an mp3 player (we found one for $19) and my parents got her a digital camera (the one they bought was $35), plus some earrings (her ears aren't pierced, so the magnetic ones), nail polish, and some shirts for school.

  • Girls that age love the store "Justice". There are always 40% off coupons too, so if you don't have one, look around, they are out there. You could get a gift certificate or a cute shirt and hair accessory. They also love Justin Beiber, iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, Taylor Swift. They have all that stuff at Justice. They also have diaries and cute age appropriate jewelry. Can you tell I spend a lot of time there?

  • I had that issue too. Before I had my daughter. Even though she's not that old yet. My son's best friend is a girl. He was invited to her birthday party. I spent 30 minutes tryign to find something. Before I hunted down a mom that had a daughter about that age and asked her what she's! I had no clue. Children these days like ICarly, Justin Beirber, High School Musical, and that vampire movie.

  • my daughter is 7 and doesn't like any of that stuff :P lol but only cause we don't let her watch Hannah Montana or ICarly or anything like that... Books and games and coloring stuff (older stuff like paints, markers, etc) are always a hit with her. do u know what this girl likes at all? is she into animals or science or anything in particular?

  • From a mother of a soon to be 8 year old PET SHOPS ARE THE WAY TO GO!!!! You also can't go wrong with ICARLY! They LOVE CD'S like the Jonas Brothers.

I would steer clear of markers, stickers, makeup, fingernail polish...

I think a Icarly purse with a Jonas brother CD would be the best gift.. you can find that at walmart.

  • My dd (just turned 7) is into all the craft making stuff:

    Make your own bracelets
    Make your own jewelry
    Sand Art
    Diva Puppies

Pillow Pet (Toys r Us has them for $20 right now).

And of course - video games if they play them.
