Time to buy some new toys...

My daughter is 14 months old and has lost interest in most of her toys. I was going to buy her more interactive toys. I have some ideas and don't mind spending money, but I was just wondering what toys your children played with at this age and really liked?

  • Honestly, they didn't really play with their toys much. They preferred playing with my cooking utensils and pots and plastic containers. Made me wish I'd never spent the money on toys.

  • My kids loved anything they could manipulate themselves. They got bored quickly with anything that just had buttons to push for music, etc.

  • Put those toys away for a week or so then take them back out it is just like brand new to them again... Good luck finding something new and interesting...

  • I was at target last night and almost bout a WHOLE bunch of leap frog stuff. BUT decided to wait til Xmas lol. I was wonder WHERE this stuff was 2 years ago..SUPER cute fun stuff and not TOOO expensive. I cleaned my daughters rooms yesterday and realized they had really crappy toys. So I said every pay day I will get them toys as we toss the other lol

  • this is the age my son started loving cars... just like hot wheels.... I would recommend rotating and maybe hiding some of her current toys in the closet and bringing them out later again

  • I agree take them away and when you bring them back she will like them again, I would wait until christmas to give her any new toys. At this age though they will play with anything. Dolls, jumpers, phones etc.

  • My kids never liked the electronic, loud toys. Or maybe it was me that hated them. They always played with little people, small plastic animals, dolls, action figures, toy phone. Still to this day, that's what my 7 and 4 year old prefer.

  • At that age my son loved playing with toy trucks and balls. We even found this game online called Giggles that he loved to play.
