How much should I charge to babysit twin girls?

I will be babysitting twin girls (2 years old) from 9:30 AM- 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for a docter that is coming to town. I also, have a 2 year old. I have no clue what to charge him, and he ask me what I want to be payed. So, having NO idea how much to charge him, what should I charge to watch his twin girls for 7 hours a day, for 5 days?

  • LOL at Zoey ;)

I say go for $250 a week. That's cheaper than most daycares for 2 kids.

  • $50.00 per child per day is the going rate around me. Since they are from the same family I would say $400.00 per week for them.

  • I would call up some local daycare and see what they charge and then charge the dr. something comparable.

  • I charge $25 per day/per child to babysit.
In your case where its only a temperary thing for a time while he is in town, I would charge $30 per day/per child.
He's a doctor after all, he can afford it :)
