  • Boys are easy...just take them over and over and over again until they go in the toilet. Also put some cheerios in the toilet for him to aim at. But the first is a no fail method, take them every 15 mins and let them sit on the toilet for a few mins until they get antsy and want down. Just keep repeating it until they finally go and then praise them tons and keep repeating! After a while they make the connection and will want to go for the rewards...such as stickers and small treats!

  • well, first thing is making sure they are ready to be potty trained. Just because they are 2 doesn't mean its time. This is an issue that you can guide them to but you can't force them to do. Look for readiness signs like going long periods of time with a dry diaper, letting you know when they go or willingly sitting on the potty. You will know when they "get it". Then start a routine of taking them in the morning, before nap, after lunch, ect....just several times a day. Eventually they will do it. Some kids are over 3 before its all said and done. If you wait until they are very ready, you can do this in no time. If you start too early, then you spend many months in the process.

  • Make sure your kid is ready to be potty trained. Buy underwear and throw out the diapers. Buy Pull-Ups, but only use for naps or nighttime or when you need to go out. Buy a potty for each floor of your house. Every 15-20 minutes, take your kid to the potty and tell him/her that he/she needs to go pee-pee and poopy in the potty. When there is an accident (and there will be...many of them at first especially), take your child to the potty and again say that he/she needs to pee-pee and poopy in the potty. If your child is ready to be potty trained, he/she should at least understand the concept of this within a day or two. Good luck.
