Which Moms Had Their Last Child after 35?

I was wondering how many moms out there have had pregnancies later on in life. I was 34 with my first, and then 38 with my twins. Are you more tired because of your age? Do you regret having kids at an older age?

  • I was 36 when I had my first and only daughter. The only regret is DH would like a second child (he only wanted one before), and I've got enough medical issues now that it would be too dangerous.

  • I plan to have more (after 40).
My last child was born when I was only 32.
I did notice myself being more tired than with my younger-aged pregnancy... but imo, it had more to do with chasing a toddler, working, etc...

  • I had my kids at 23, 25, 27, 35 and 36. It's definitely different having kids in my 20s and then again in my 30s!! I am much more tired (although it also could be that I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in between, because I'm in much better shape!)

  • Oh - but no, I don't regret them at all! I actually enjoy them much more, I'm more relaxed and patient now than I was then.

  • I was pregnant at 39 with my one & only (so far)! I can't tell you if I am more tired than I would have been but I can say that I haven't slept past 8:30am in almost 4 years!! YES, I wish I had a child sooner but I had many miscarriages so it was out of my hands until I took it back into my hands & did IVF. I would LOVE to have another, I just need about $12,000 to do IVF again. So I will be playing lotto regularly. :) Miracles do happen!

  • I was 37 when I had my 7 yr old son. I had my daughter when I was 20. I see a huge difference in my energy level. I don't regret either of my children. Both brought to me at different ages in my life. I see things differently. It's pretty awesome actually.

  • I HAD OUR ONLY CHILD AT 37Y11M AFTER WE HAD BEEN MARRIED ALMOST 15 YEARS. WE WOULD HAVE LOVED ANOTHER BUT IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN. TOO MUCH BRAIN SURGERY. (13 TIMES IN 13 YEARS) BUT GOD KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE EVEN ONE.

  • not me, i'm only 26 now. but both my mom and my step mom had kids after 35. idk about my step mom, but i know my mom's last pregnancy was really hard on her. but then again, my last pregnancy was just as hard, and i'm relatively young still. :)
