  • I worked the overnight (11P-7A) shift for 10 years. I routinely would stay up for 40 hours straight. I think this contributed to my current insomnia problem. Say I was working Mon night. I'd get up Monday morning at 6:30, do the kids and housework, errand thing. Get everyone bathed and to bed at 8:00P, spend a couple hours with my husband, and leave at 10:15P for work. Get home at 8:00 Tuesday morning, stay up all day and go to bed that night at 10PM. I did this all of the time.

  • Back in high school 3 days. I was an untreated bipolar though so I had serious bouts of insomnia. Now I can't even go a day without sleep.

  • I don't know for sure, but it was several days. It really affects your thinking, too, after a while.

  • 4 days. I had a new born child that didn't want to sleep and when he would sleep. Everybody that lived in the house was up. So I got no sleep. The first week that he was home I got about 14 hours of sleep all together. I was a zombie.
