on my laptop theres a FN to ctrl and alt...

what does FN do?? when i hit it, nothing happens....

  • It's the function button. There should be blue choices under your F keys (F1, F2 etc). Push the FN and the other keys together

  • It's a function key... do your numbers have little symbols over or under them? Like volume control, brightness...

  • I will give you an example, because that's the best way to describe it. On my laptop I have the home button, and underneath it it says 9+
    prt sc in a box, if I were to fit fn, and then open up Microsoft word and paste it in there, I would have a a replica of the page I hit it on. if you have a lock button or anything like that and were to press it, it would do something, but it depends on what the button you press AFTER fn is used.

  • When I pushed the fn button, the F keys lit up on the top of my screen, like that are on the top of my keyboard. I tried to make those hearts, but it didn't work :(
