Breakfast Ideas

Hi, could someone please suggest some breakie ideas for a 9 month old...I have been giving him oatmeal and porridge from the jars...but feel he needs more than mushy breakfast now that he is gettng older...

  • Fruits are always good. Does he have teeth yet? cheerioes wet or dry works. Just avoid the egg whites and peanut butter if you can.

  • He doesn't "require" any food other than breastmilk or formula. Try fruit cut up,or yogurt.

  • Dole fruit cups, yogurt, scrambled eggs with cheese, cheerios, Nutrigrain Breakfast bars - I used to slice down the middle (long ways) and then into bites.

    At 9mths, it is time to transition from jar food to table food

  • banana is always a hit or you can try puffs (cereal that melts in the mouth) comes in lots of flavors

  • cut up fruits or veggies, boil an egg and give him the yolk, cheerios, puffs, 1/4 of a cut up bagel.

  • It's not really necessary. Food at this point is just for practice, so dont get stressed out about it just yet LOL.
    Fresh fruit is always the biggest hit in my house.
