10 month old and naps- If he's still crying after 15 minutes, is a nap a hopeless idea??

  • nope. Go in, rub his back, soothe him and tell him gently and calmly that it is night night time

  • What are you doing during the time he is crying? Is it tired crying? If so, you just need to settle him down and he will sleep.

  • Exactly what Maureen said! I have to do this about twice a week. Sometimes they just need a little more time to relax and unwind. Babies have a lot going on in their little heads!

  • No for some babies it takes time for them to settle down they are so full of energy unlike the mommies

  • Sometimes they cry like that to relieve stress, I would wait 30 min or so....

  • let the baby cry about 20 minutes put some soft music on and he should go to sleep. Even if he just lays very quiet and plays it's a time of resting.
