storing dry spices?

I have a few spice mixes that I want to last , does storing them in the fridge extend their life or hinder it with humidity?
again these are dried, but would like info on fresh ones fromt he garden too. ty!

  • I have had a little luck with putting rosemary, still on the stem, in a ziplock. It does still dry out though. My strategy is just keeping it on the plant and hoping I can keep it alive, lol! (doesn't always work.)

  • For herbs, I have had luck with putting them in a ziplock with a piece of damp paper towel and refrigerating. For spices, I don't know. I find they last pretty long in a sealed container.

  • ^^^ I should have said for fresh herbs I use a ziplock and damp paper towel in the refrigerator. If your herbs are dry, then they should keep well in a sealed container.
