Ok, I need to know what's wrong with milk & soccer?

In the mainstream question below someone said their teen has never played soccer or had milk. Why?

  • I have no clue..I hate hearing milk is for calf's and humans don't need it...true we don't "need" it but the again we don't need cheese, sour cream or any other milk derived product, and I can bet most of these people who don't drink milk eat things derived from milk.

As to soccer.....I have no clue, a sport is a sport no matter which one you choose to play.

  • Well, I don't really think there's a tie there. Milk is not really meant for humans, it's got a lot of mucus in it, and almost everyone is slightly lactose intolerant.

  • Why didn't you just ask me? Just because we choose to do, or not do, something, doesn't make it right or wrong. Not everything has a value.

  • My teen doesn't drink milk and hasn't since he was about 3 yr old. Neither of us drink milk, just don't like it. I know many people that don't drink milk. Some people are allergic to dairy or are lactose intolerant. As for soccer, my son HATES soccer, some kids just are not sports oriented or just don't like or want to play soccer, doesn't make it wrong.

  • well... uh... maybe the kid is lactose intolerant?
its a pretty random combination haha... I never played soccer either... just wasn't big where I grew up. everyone played baseball/softball instead...
    IDK?

  • Milk's not meant for humans? I disagree but I respect your opinion.

I still don't know why anyone would think soccer was "bad", though. lol

  • I did! Just now, I asked what's wrong with milk & soccer. You still didn't answer my question. Someone else said why they don't drink milk but you never answered. How does playing soccer make you mainstream? I'm just curious. I'm not trying to start anything, sorry. I just honestly don't see what's wrong with these things.

  • I answered the question too & was very curious about the soccer!!! .. I 110% understand the milk.. Its really not the most amazing thing for us really..
So.. what exactly is it about soccer particularly? :)
(my guess was whatever the culture is of the poster soccer is highly played/valued and for her not playing soccer made her different than those around her)

  • While I missed the question the first time around i do not understand the soccer either. Or the milk issue. How is milk not for humans? Do we not feed our babies with our breastmilk when they are born just as cows do?

  • I don't think milk is BAD, heck, I drink it, but it really isn't intended for humans. (technically) I think they might have been referring to cow's milk.
