eye makeup

I have redhair and freckles, blond eye brows, green eyes or hazel, the thing is my skin has a lot of pink or red tone, so what would work for my skin tone? I've done browns but want to do something different. I'm not very good in the makeup department.

  • Ya know, I don't even wear anything anymore since I found that bronzer does all you need to do. I bought some bronzing stuff from Victoria Secret. I use that for both blush and eye shadow. It's very natural, but does what I want it to.

  • Check out this makeup tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbeWBoS2ev8

It's a simple look that can be used for daytime and spiced up for night. She has red hair, freckles, light skin, no eyebrows ... just like you describe. There's a ton of listings on YouTube when I searched "makeup for red head." I love YouTube for makeup tutorials because they take you step by step and you can generally find the answer to any makeup problem.

I'm guessing you have a warm skin tone, at the bottom of that page it states which eye shadow colors would work best.. Hope this helps.

  • I agree with the purple idea. Start with some soft shades and then work your way up to something a little more bold. Also, invest in some makeup brushes; they make application much smoother and the color is truer than when applied with those little sponge applicators.

  • any warm purple will work..

since your pale, try a warm pale purple.. not a cool pastel really.. but something with a little gold or brown or even more red than blue in it for purple will work great.
