What is a good career path that involves kids besides being a teacher?

  • Tutoring, in home daycare, preschool teacher, assistant teacher/parapro, camp counselor, court appointed child advocate, social services worker, tour guide at a children's museum, etc.

  • I was shocked when I read that the professional that makes the most money is a podiatrist (foot doctor). There are probably podiatrists that only work with kids. The GPA required for podiatry school is lower than medical school. There aren't many podiatry schools but there is a huge need for podiatrists. I think it would be an excellent career choice for a woman. I was thinking you could hire an assistant (and pay them well) to get patient's feet all nice and clean and good smelling before you have to look at them.

    PTs & OTs get paid well but you need master's degrees now for both I believe.

  • Pediatrician, day care worker, social worker or social services. I'm sure there are others. Check with your local university.
