  • "If the needle or wedding ring swings in a strong circular motion, you will be having a girl. If it moves in a to and fro motion like a pendulum, you will be having a boy."

  • This "test" can predict whether you will have a boy or a girl. Tie your wedding band or other ring on to a piece of string. Hold this string so that the ring hangs down in front of your belly. The string should start moving on its own. If the ring moves in a circular pattern, you are having a boy; if it moves in a straight line, you are having a girl.
