I have to fight my kid to nurse...

My kid hardly ever nurses. She's one of those kids that doesn't like eating or nursing.I mean, she won't even cry if she's hungry. She's only 4 months old, and she'll just keep playing. If I leave her for like 5 hours straight she won't cry.I checked her thoroughly, she has no infections nothing.I took her to our pediatrician.Nothing.And when i force her she'll drink for about 3 minutes tops. Is this normal?

  • I bet your milk is super rich! As long as she is happy and healthy, has several really wet diapers every day, and a healthy BM at least once a week, she is good! As moms, we are always looking for something, eh? Well, I bet you are doing a fantastic job, and just outside of what you may have heard or read about breastfeeding relationships. Check out a local chapter of La Leche League to share your success story, give encouragement to others, and discuss y our concerns.

  • She may have become more efficient. How's the dipe count? If she's not wetting much, then be concerned.

Also, what's the solids picture? Make sure she's not filling up on solids first...nursing comes before solids.
