Tragedies happening all around, increased foreclosures, families are homeless? Where do they find shelter?

Four Months is along time to wait for the Bail out to help anyone. Right now, people are on the brink. The massive layoffs will come as December nears. With all the cuts, that the Bush administration has made to social programs for the homeless and needy, families will be out on the street suffering. Young children homeless. This is a real problem. Massachusetts has an increased in homeless families. I know here in California there are alot homeless and not enough shelters or food kitchens to feed the homeless. At least here in California, a family can recieve cash aid. That is not available in other states. What is the solution to homelessness?

  • Reading the responses, no wonder why most of the charities around the world aren't being funded because of selfish and uncaring people like you. People make mistakes and sometimes you don't know their situation. What about a family who pays for high medical bills and cannot afford to save money? What happens when Daddy loses his job? And they are homeless? Where's your compassion? For all of you who claim to believe in God and seem to feel so self-righteous about yourselves. Who gives you, your income? You? No, God does... You just think you do. I guess you won't understand until you have to go through it yourself! Your attitudes are sickening.

  • there really is no sloution.. i think we will always have it. its sad but probably true. not grant it some people become homeless because of uncontrolable things, such as losing a house and all but the majority have made bad life choices.... also i dont see people trying as much as they can. where i live there are welfare recivers allll around and they complain that no one will help them and there poor but they do nothing for themseleves. i anit knocking no one, i myself was homeless and prego at 17-18, but i did something for myself.... the solution to it would be everyone joining together to fight it. it will cost money and time....something no one has these days

  • I think if people want to survive they are going to need to band together and not depend on the government to bail us out. When I was a young single mom I got room mates to split the bills with. I think if your having trouble paying the bills you should look into getting a room mate or two. It will help you from facing homelessness and help other people with the same problem.

  • Maybe people will learn their lesson from now on....don't buy shit you can't afford with money you don't have. No sympathy.

  • anon at 544, unfortunately i agree. There is an extreme way to learn a lesson for those of you not reading your bible saying to live within your means, tithe and humble yourselves. Nobody on $50K a year should be in $200K home and driving an escalade. No bail outs either, I say suffer and learn a lesson or 10.
And, loaning money to illegals to buy houses because Clinton thought it would be good for the community is the stupidest thing ever. Clinton should have to pay those loans off.

  • Oh and btw, Christmas aint about how many gifts you can buy. The economy has NOTHING to do with Christmas. You wake up, Thank the Lord for his gifts and observe the day as a Christian Holiday not a retail holiday. duh.

BRAVO!!! Come on anons...let yourselves be known! It seems that on posts like this the anons are the only ones that make any sense! It a shame that people have to remain anonymous just to state their opinions because people harrass them for it if they don't.

  • You know the only people I feel sorry for are the CHILDREN involved because they are the innocent victims here. CPS should step in and rescue these children. There are plenty of people out there struggling but knew that they couldn't afford a house or that high class SUV, I'll donate a toy for toys for tots and some food for the food drive to help out but there is only so much some of us can help. This is a major lesson we must learn, but sadly some never will.
