What's the best type of paper to print invitations on?

I don't wanna use regular paper because the template I found online is really colorful. Would doing it on photo paper be good? Or have you ever just went to Walgreens or CVS to get them done?

  • What type of invites... normally a 24lb. card stock would be ideal. You could check Office Max and see if they have a matte finish photo stock.

  • The more formal the occasion, the heavier the paper. A casual get together at your home can be printed on copy paper, whereas for a wedding you would want to use heavy card stock for a crisp and formal look.
