at what age should your child be wiping they're own bottoms?

  • I believe my oldest started wiping herself at around 4.

  • My had our son start to try to wipe his butt as soon as he started pooping in the potty. We always would wipe again to make sure he was clean until he got good at it. :)

  • We started him at 2 or 3. He needed to be able to for preschool.

  • My son at 2 does it when he actually uses the potty (which is never hes afraid of it lol) but hes watched us do hes all into copying what hes seens. I give him a wet wipe and he tries..but I normally have to do a second clean up.

  • My three year old wipes herself. It is a game. I supervise. Front to front. Back to back.
    this prevents bacteria from spreading and infection.
