my 12 yr old is on adderal, does anyone know of side effects and are they serious?

  • It is a form of speed and it pretty much helps them slow down, they may have loss of appetti ( spelled wrong) may have sucidal thoughts and increase aggression... ( my mom foster boy was on it for a year)

  • All I know about adderall is that we used to buy them in college to stay awake. I would tell you to keep the pills away from him and give him his doses, but since he is only 12 I'm sure that won't be a problem ... but I've heard crazier things before!

  • what else have you tried?
    i am just thinking, maybe no processed foods, no food dyes, low sugar, high veggies?
    have you looked into the add/ adhd groups?
