besides simply cutting calories. I've done that for ages.

ultimately you need burn more calories they you eat, and build lean muscle mass. Don't cut to many calories... never go below 1200 for sure... and add at least 3 days of cardio and 3-4 days of resistance training. You should see a difference with that.
