hi back in march of this year, i recently had an ectopic pregnancy which led me to having to get my left tube and left ovary removed. my question is how long do you suppose i wait to try and conceive again???

  • What did your doctor tell you? Its been 5 months, right? I would think that would be plenty of time to heal. Good luck.

  • you have to buy one of those ovulation kits and find out when you ovulate. My SS mom had an ovary removed and she said she could only ovate every other month.

  • she told me that i could still get pregnant and that i should wait atleast 1 cycle before trying again. but the thing is im very scared of having another one.

  • talk to ur doctor and maybe there is something they can help u with and so they can keep an eye on u so that doesnt happen again

  • I had an ectopic Jan '09. My doc said to wait 3 cycles. I was scared just like you, I never wanted to go thru that again. I decided to wait 6 months before trying. I got lucky and got pregnant right after that. I think waiting a few months will help you heal physically and emotionally!
