Any good towns in Northern New Jersey?

My husband and I are thinking about moving to North Jersey and I'm trying to research good towns to look at (ie good school systems, nice town culture like farmers markets, cute stores and restaurants, etc). Any suggestions?

  • There are a lot. Most of Bergen County is great. Wyckoff, Glen Rock, Ramsey, Oakland, Hillsdale, Park Ridge, all great schools. Also, in NY, right over the border is Pear River and Suffern, both nice.

  • How about Long Island, NY? A skip & jump away! Our weather is always better in the winter too! :)
