Should we pay off our laptop or catch up on utilities?

My husband and I are expecting to get his financial aid check by the end of the week. After we buy his books we can either use the leftover money to pay up all the utilities we are behind on before we got a roommate. Or we can pay off our laptop so we don't have to make the $180 a month payment on it. Which would you do and why?

  • I would catch up your utilities if you are behind. Getting behind on those can look bad on your credit too and you could have them turned off if you don't pay. Without electric a laptop isn't going to do you a lot of good for long.

  • the utilities because those are way more important to pay off then the lap top

  • Catch up on utilities. That's more important if you're behind.
