has this ever happened to you?

my dd woke up tonight screaming her head off like she was hurt, but when i went in her room to check on her she smiled and lid back down again, so i tried to leave the room and she screamed she is in my arms sound asleep
has this ever happened to you?

  • Yes. Sounds like night terrors, my dd went through that about a year ago, I called the pedi nurse line and they suggested i go in her room for about 3 or 4 nights at around the time that she would usually wake up screaming and stuff. They instructed me to fully awaken her and put her back to bed. Easier than it sounds when it is 2 am haha. I did that for 5 nights to be safe and we haven't had a problem since with her waking up like that.

  • I agree. Both my kids did that. Scared the cr@p out of me. I thought there was something seriously wrong with then. Also might be growth spurts. My DD still does that but now she can verbalize her pain.  but both are not serious.
