what do u think could cause body rashes to a nursing mother?

the rashes is not itchy, but looks irritating on me at time, i applied anti-fungai cream once or twice then the rash will varnish n reappear again after about 1wk. do u pple think its what i eat or drugs i use(cod liver oil, b.complex, vitamin c, folic acid, blood tonic)

  • You really didn't give much information about the rash itself. If it's in a fold of skin (like under the breasts,) fungal is more likely, but if it's not in a fold, it becomes much less so. While you're nursing, your hormones are different than they'll be after weaning, and the hormone differences can affect your skin. If it is responding well to the antifungal cream, try using it for more than a couple times. You may be almost knocking out a fungus but not quite killing it.

  • Most fungal creams need to be used for a week. And if the area becomes damp/moist again, it will come back. Once its gone, try to keep the area dry with some corn startch based powder.
