cavaties

I have never had a cavity before. Well before friday when I got it repaired LOL Anyways, My tooth where the cavity has been filled is sensitive to hot/cold and just feels sore a little when I bite or chew. Is this normal? If so how long does it usuall last?

  • Yeah it's normal. The tooth is traumatized when it is drilled and filled. Also, the gums might be a little tender from the shots and the that is put around the tooth to fill it. I'm not up on my dental jargon. You know what it is. It's like a clamp.

  • Yes, that's normal.

It could take a few weeks, 4-6, or longer for that to go away.
