How long before you actually get a divorce...

should you tell your children about it? We will be getting a divorce within the next three or four months or so...when should we tell the kids?

  • Did he move out? How old are the kids? I would probably just explain to them how both you and daddy love them very much, but you and daddy can't live together anymore.....

  • i think the sooner that the two of you can explain things to the children the better just so they know what is going on and stuff. Kids have a great sixth sense when things just aren't right. Its better to fill them in than leave them guessing.

  • Now. Sit them downa nd talk to them about what is going on. Make sure they don't feel like it is their fault.

  • do you know anyone with kids who have divorced? I would ask them what they did and the results and if they regret it or not.

  • the kids can tell things are not right. tell them . children are very good at picking up on those things.
