When can you start a baby on cereal?

My son started cereal at 4 months, but my daughter seems readys at 3 months. Has anyone else started their children this early?

  • I started my daughter on cereal around 6 months old. I actually started adding it to her bottle with her formula so she would sleep longer through the nights. It worked well...hope this helps.

  • i started to feed my daughter baby porridge when she was 3months old... actually it was only carrot porridge at 3 months... baby porridge with cookie-taste, fruit-taste ect i started at 4 months.

  • I started my first at 10 days old on rice cereal and the rest at one month and none of them have had any problems.

  • My sons pedi said he could start cereal when he could hold his head up, at 2 months.
