What do you do when your 1yr old screams at you?

Just curious what everyone else does.

When they do that angry shattering scream right at you when they don't get their way, what do you do?

  • I used pickle juice. I would stick my finger in the pickle juice and put it on their tongue. After one or two pickle juice punishment, the screaming and temper tantrums stopped.

  • I turn around and walk away...she is 2 and still does it. the more you ignore them the better...they're just looking for attention.

  • I used to firmly grab my tots by the arm and march them into their room. Then I'd tell them to sit there until they can speak nicely to me. It worked. Not sure why but it did.
