Potty talk: Can 3 year old wipe herself?

My daughter is potty trained, except wiping. She can kinda wipe herself if it's #1, but no way #2. Actually, I don't let her, because she really can't reach herself from behind. Of course, when she tries to wipe herself when she goes #2, she wipes from back to the front. I am guessing she's still too young to do it by herself. Am I right? At what age approximately can a girl wipe herself? Thanks!

  • I think it just depends. My daughter is 3 and we are workign on potty training right now too. she is getting pretty good at wiping, including her behind, but I always check her to be sure. Now, we just have to figure out how to keep her from peeing her panties at naptime and bed time and we'll be set!
