  • I have a Jack Russell and they are hyperactive dogs.It sounds like yours is spoiled like He/she has learned that this behavior works so will keep doing it. What worked for me was a Vet suggested taking a coke can and putting a couple of pennies in it and cover the opening. Every time he has this behavior shake the can. They hate the noise it makes and will stop what they are doing. It worked very fast for me but stick to one behaviour you want to change at a time.

  • Get him a companion. Dogs get lonely too. He needs someone to play with.

  • you can try pinching his lip every time he cries and soon it will stop. and you can start leaving him home alone for a few minutes at a time then gradually increase the amount of time you are gone. you are rewarding bad behavior and contributing to the situation. You originated it, so you'll have to be the one to change it. The dog needs discipline and excercise, and praise for good behavior not immediate rewards for bad behavior.

    Or..just drug the little darling.

  • Our dogs had Bark Busters training. The method uses human growling to quite and alert the dog. A quick growl will stop him. Then praise him. You can probably find a you tube video of this.
