how can i make headaches go away without taking tylenol during pregnancy?

i am having serious headaches during pregnancy, they are only on the left side of my head. i am 18 weeks pregnant. my doctor says i can only take tylenol.

  • Have you tried moist warm packs around your eyes. It could be sinus. I had three girls of my own, and now have 6 grandchildren. Also, prayer is a great help. Grammie Barb

  • try taking a small nap, i suffer from migraines, even just laying there with a cold rag on my forehead and a half hour nap helps alot!, i dont take medication either since i am expecting, and lord knows i have had some awful headaches these past nine months!

  • Drink lots of water. I also didn't take anything for my headaches but I used one of those eye masks that you can stick in the freezer. The coldness felt really good.

  • drink water , dehydration can cause headaches. Also try ice that is what has worked for me.

  • yes! try this: tie a long thin scarf around your head ( something like a sweat band) make sure its tight, but not toooo tight, lay down and if you have a frozen soft pack- put that on your head and change positions as necesary to cool temples) dont forget to drink your water-daily!
