If so, what do you usually make?

  • I would feel SO bad sending my kids to school hungry! I couldn't send them off without feeding them.

  • This morning they had a fried egg with a slice of sharp white cheddar, whole wheat toast with honey, fruit, and a glass of almond milk.

I don't know why someone wouldn't cook for their kids- it only takes 10 minutes!

  • sort of- He has a snack oat the house and breakfast at school. Since he is on reduced meals it is much more affordable for him to eat there. So like a banana at home then when he gets to school he buy's their breakfast it's a chicken biscuit, burrito, breakfast pizza, french toast... all kinds of things! With juice and milk.

  • Usually they have cereal with milk, but sometimes I will fix oatmeal or yogurt with fruit and a bagel or English muffin. On the weekends, my husband occasionally makes pancakes and eggs for breakfast.

  • It's usually some kind of hot cereal or bacon and eggs. But they have to heat it up. As I make for everyone and DH and I go to work before they go to school.

  • yes. She'll have oatmeal, shredded wheat, veggie sausage & grits, egg sandwich, sometimes a bagel. Obviously, that is not all one

On weekends, i go all out. i LOVE a big breakfast. On weekends i'll make everything! Pancakses, waffles, hashbrowns, french toast, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage (veggie for my DD) sometimes we'll have BLT's for breakfast.

  • Well, my son hasnt started back to school yet..he goes next week. But yeah, when he has school I'll make him breakfast in the morning. Sometimes he just wants a bowl cereal though.
I make scrambled eggs with cheese on top and I put it on toast to make him a egg sandwhich..thats his favorite.
Other times, I'll do pancakes or waffles with fruit and bacon or sausage, sometimes french toast, occassionally I'll make him some hashbrowns.

  • Egg & either turkey bacon or turkey sausage on lightly buttered bread. These can also be made ahead, frozen individually, then reheated as needed. This is my son's favorite breakfast.

He also likes pancakes, which I make ahead from scratch in large batches, freeze individually on a cookie sheet covered in waxed paper, then package in pairs to be reheated as needed in the toaster oven (taste just as fresh as the day I made them).

These are the kinds of meals I make because my son likes to get up at the last minute, then race for the bus, so quick meals are his favorite.
