How long is lunch for your child in school?

My boys will have 20 minutes to eat lunch

  • That's what my daughter has. It's really tough for the little ones to unwrap everything and eat in that short amount of time.

  • 20 minutes!!!! Rediculous...It frustrates me cause we all know 5-7 yr olds can't shove food down their throats. There has to be a better system.

  • Mine gets 20 minutes to eat and 15 to play. But they don't have recesses like other school. Lunch recess is all they get for the whole day.

  • 30 minutes with a 20 min recess. Most class periods last about 50 minutes each.

  • My youngest gets 25 minutes. Of course, by the time you get in the cafe, get your milk or lunch and sit down some days your lucky to get 10 minutes to eat. My oldest is starting jr high so I'm not sure how long lunch is. I'm assuming the same amount.

  • 20 minutes (less the 5-10 minutes it takes to walk there, open things, clean them up and walk back to their room). I don't know how the kids who get hot lunch have time to eat it after they stand in line.
