Anyone have a daughter starting high school?

My 14 year old daughter is going into 9th grade and starting high school. She is excited and nervous, as am I. Anyone else?

  • Sounds like your daughter is adjusting well, that's great! My daughter is my oldest (and only daughter), so she is the first of mine to start high school. The middle school she went to branches off into 2 high schools, so she will already know alot of the 9th graders, which is nice.

  • I'm right there with you. My 14 year old daughter starts high school next week. I think I'm more nervous than she is. We're going to freshman orientation tonight. I'm hoping I'll feel better after that.

  • My kids don't go back until Sept 7, so we have a few weeks. Good luck tonight TweenAndTwinMom! I'm sure that will help put your mind at east, at least a little!

  • My sister in law whom I live with is 14 and starting. I gave her some make-up nad hair stuff and her mom helped her buy new clothes and supplies. She is very nervous and so is her mom. We are trying to be supportive!!!
