Why does my 4 month old curl her leg while being held?

It might seem like an odd question but I thought I'd ask anyway.

i have noticed that when she is sitting in someones lap or she is drinking a bottle she will curl her left leg up into the crawling pose. ..not both legs just the one. Is it a sign of some discomfort or is it maybe just a quark?

  • could it be how she was positioned in utero. My DD always did some weird twisty thing with her legs when she was really young, the ped said it may have been how she was in the womb and was comfortable sitting that way!

  • Mine never did that.but if she doesn't cry while doing it, she's not in pain.

  • My son did the same thing when he was that age. He grew out of it
