  • at 4 months started cereal and at 6 months jar baby food. But let me give you some advice, I've had 2 kids and when you do the whole jar food thing, you may think they're great eaters because they eat every variety you give them but limit the jars or axe them altogether! What happens is baby gets so used to that consistent, smooth texture that never changes. THen when they start trying adult food they think,"What's this junk?" Even though you're giving them mashed up carrots and pears! They need to know that an apple may taste sweeter or more tart on any given day and that sweet potatoes have strings lol

  • My daugher was about 4 months when I started the rice cereal & little pieces of fruit (like cantalope & watermelon) in the little net things that hold the fruit in them. She's 11 months now & I never fed her the ready made baby foods. I'd make her meatballs (I still do) and chicken about once a week so that she gets her meat, but she eats pretty much everything I eat, which is a good thing because I tend to follow a healthy diet!! She wants to eat when I eat...so very cute!! But I also BF, so she eats what I eat regardless!!
