3 Bumps

My Boston Terrior likes to eat...

Bugs but loves to eat wasp. If one gets in the house he will bark to alert me if I don't find it first. I get the broom and ask him "you wanna eat it, gonna eat it" he gets really excited and he will literally kill it and eat it. I call him my big bad bug killer lol. Is this normal or does he just like the way they taste(even though he gets stung)?

  • My German Shepherd does the same thing. She also chases butterflys and will do so all day! LOL She just turn 1 year, so I am hoping she will grow out of it!

  • I am glad he eats them bc I dislike wasp soooooo much. He will try to eat flies too but doesn't react like he does to wasp.

  • Their probably just a fun thing to catch for him. As long as getting stung isn't bothering him I wouldn't worry about it.

  • I hope his mouth or throat don't swell up on him. Funny past time, keeps you safe, and him amused.

  • I would be worried about the stinger/venom. My Belgian Malinois puppy LOVES to eat crickets. lol Hey, at least it's extra protein!

  • Wasps are poisonous and he can die from the venom.

  • Wow I wouldn't have known. He use to eat a lot of them before we moved. Some days it seemed 3 or 4 would always find a way into the house during the summer.
