How long does it take for stitches to dissolve after giving birth?

  • i don't know exactly how long it takes, but at three weeks when me and my dd tried to do the hanky panky he didn't see any stitches and said i looked comepletely healed

  • It depends on if u ripped or got an episiotmy. I believe ripping takes more time to heal. My friend ripped and it took her @ least 6wks. I had the epi, and i think it was 4wks..

  • stitches go away in 3 days now the pain from those said stitches stays around for a month or so because you bruise. but no hanky panky until six weeks could end up prego again(seriously) and have to lay on bed rest for 6 months due to an incompetent cervix. been there
