Bad Eggs Outbreak Nationwide

Has everyone heard? They said a distributor has sent them Nationwide and they are tainted. You should be checking with the news to see exactly where or which batches to be sure. I'd be careful until I could verify this.

  • If they are voluntarily recalling their eggs I would throw them away. Gross! Those chickens are raised in deplorable conditions, inhumane and I, personally, do not support the commercial egg industry. Find some nice local eggs, support a farmer and your local economy at the same time.

  • If I can't find local organic eggs, I buy Eggland's Best. I just don't trust those big producers. This is horrible, I hope it's contained before more people get sick.

  • hmm... thanks for passing this along... makes me wonder though because isn't salmonella preventable if you wash the shells before cracking and fully cooking the egg?
