When you are in public and you hear someone giving (or they are telling you) Too Much Information (TMI)... how do you deal with those situations?

Personally I just think to myself, "OMG... REALLY?!" and try to get away from them and their stories/rants ASAP. (lol)

  • My mom puts her hands up over her head like she's making a circle & goes "Overshare!!!"

  • Depends. Usually, if they are talking to me I just give it back to them. If I'm overhearing it I just move on.

  • this happens a lot when people find out I'm a counselor... the worst is on airplanes (esp when you want to sleep) and you can't get away haha

  • If I know the person, I make a hand gesture like a ref and yell overshare! If not, I just try to wiggle my way out of the conversation as soon as I can.

  • People on cell phones do that---they don't even know how loud their voices are when they talk on their cell phones. And it is so private it is embarassing but they don't seem to care. So far none of my friends or family have done that---they don't want to share private stuff. They have good taste. :-)

  • Ditto Kiwismommy19. If someone wants to tell me a story that's TMI, I can def come up with something equally offensive. :D
