  • Furniture forts in the living room... blankets and chairs, served with a picnic-on-the-floor underneath for lunch...

Break out the old art supplies and cover the table with them and mix and match...

Get out all the board games and play each until they get boring and then move on to the next...

Put on swimsuits and race around the outside of the house to see who can get the wettest, who's the driest, who's the fastest...

  • As long as it isn't thundering & lightning, why not let them go outside and play in the rain? Catching raindrops on your tongue is fun, so is splashing in puddles. Put them in some old clothes and let them get muddy, you can always hose them off before they come in.

    pudding finger painting

balloon dance - if you have any balloons you can blow up, blow up a bunch, turn on the music and have them dance around while keeping the balloons in the air

  • My kids liked to build with blocks or run race cars on a a miniature race car set. They would spend hours building different types of tracks for the cars to run on.
