I need opinions on painting my daughter's room

We have a border with light purple and green colors in it so we decided to put the border in the middle of the wall and paint the top light green and the bottom light purple (I thought purple looked better against the carpet. We haven't started painting yet, my husband just brought up the question what should we do about the trim and closet doors? What do you think? And if the trim is going to be closest to the carpet maybe it should be purple, but if the trim is purple then should the wall be painted purple on top and green on the bottom?

  • why not just have the trim white? i think having too many colors in the room will take away from the things that you want to be the focus... like her bed or pictures.

  • Thanks! That's what we will do. I feel dumb that I didn't know that, but it's the first time I've ever gotten to paint anything an actual color before. Our walls were always white at my mom's house, and at our old house we always had to do everything neutral because we were planning on moving.

  • You can always post questions like this in Design on a Dime Moms and DIY ReDesign Moms groups.

You can also post pictures of the final results too for everyone to see.
