Update to would you let your MIL buy your hubby a car

Thanks ladies to all of you who helped me sort thru my feelings about this earlier today. After hubby went back to the dealership & found out what the interest rate they were offering was & the ridiculous monthly payment they finally came up w/ he'll happily be driving the honda for many more miles!

  • What a relief! I would not count on her making the payments either. If she really is interested in helping she should replace the A/C in the car he already owns.

I drive a 99 Pontiac Montana Mini van and my husband drives a '89 Plymouth Sundance. Neither are nice cars. I have done the brand new car thing and it was a HUGE rip off.
