Okay, seriously... my boobs are bleeding... adult content

I'm pregnant, and by boobs have become so itchy I can't help but scratch... My nipples are actually peeling, cracking and bleeding. This NEVER happened with my other two kids. I'm using cocoa butter and Vaseline lotion on them, but nothing is working... They aren't swelling or sore, just ITCHY... What can I do?

  • Lanolin, start using it now. Make sure not to use soap on them and to make sure you let them dry completely before you put the lanolin on them. Also buy some breast pads so it doesn't ruin your bra.
I had the same thing with my third pregnancy... It was terrible D:

  • I tried that one too, I still had some left from nursing my youngest, but it didn't do anything besides moisten the dry skin that was flaking off... That's why I switched to the cocoa butter & lotion... Which helps SOME, but not nearly enough...

And I have washable pads - again, I nursed for ages, so they were a way of life. So that's not a big deal...

  • My doctors looked at them, they said it's not abnormal because of the heat it's more common this time of year... They said make sure I use lots of lotion... And I do. But seriously, if I'm not sitting with them in bowls of lotion, it's just not enough.

  • Have you tried Aloe Vera? It needs to be the pure gel or juice you get at a health food store.
