French Toast

I am addicted to french toast, are they healthy...please let me know

  • Depends on how you make em. Im sure the ones you buy from a restaurant are not, but you can make healthy ones at home.

  • French toast is delicious, therefore it negates the fact that it can be unhealthy.

    That's my opinion, anyway.

  • Use a higher fiber bread like Sarah Lee smooth whole wheat bread (looks and tastes like white bread). And it's ok to have eggs a couple times a week. If you're concerned about the cholesterol in eggs, take the yolk out of half the eggs you use. 1% or 2% milk instead of whole milk. Use vanilla extract, cinnamon and/or nutmeg for added flavor with no calories. Yummy!

  • It's healthy if you consider it contains many of the basic food groups like carbohydrates, protein and calcium. The sugar for sweetening it up is okay if you don't overdo it.

  • mmm french toast..i may just make that for breakfast tomorrow...it can be healthy, i use wheat bread and egg...i don't really put much else on it, although dh likes syrup on it...
