How long can you keep makeup products that haven't been used and it's not yet opened?

  • it depends on what the product is. if it is a dry product it should be fine if it hasn't been opened. bacteria is introduced when products are used or exposed to moisture. if it is something like a lipstick you can generally tell by the smell. they tend to smell rancid or get dried out after a while. if it is skincare then that is a whole other subject. what is it?

  • I have unopened lip gloss, foundation, variety of eye shadows, blush, eye liners, and lip liners that hasn't been opened but about 2 yrs old now. I bought a lot of them due to the fact they were on a big bargain sale.

  • everything should be fine for you to use. The only thing I would be concerned about in the foundation. Other then that.... it should be fine as long as they're not open
