Are there any good baby gates that work with tension rods?

Our baby is finally on the move! We have an old house and ideally would like to avoid drilling into the wood banister. If there is something we can screw onto the wall that connects to the banister with a tension rod we'll do that. If that's not safe then hand me the drill! In general looking for advice on baby gates for stairways.

  • Evenflow has a gate that has extendable rods that you can use to wedge it between two flat areas and the middle part swings out (it is childproof and in my case, daddy proof haha) so you can still go through it instead of trying to step over it on the stairs, which can cause quite a few accidents. When we bought ours it was only $30.
