Has anyone else went "over board" with buying things for School?

I did. I know it but I wanted to make sure I had everything covered. Little guy is only five & just now going to school for the first time. I had the supply list, but I still went & got markers, (thick & thin) colored penicils, notebooks, folders, ect.... Some told me Ive gone over board. Pens, penicls, crayon cases, pen cases, binders, ect.

Just wondering if anyone else did too.

  • This is the first year I have managed to not go overboard. We're still using pens, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, paper, notebooks, and index cards I've bought over the years. This year I bought just what I thought would be needed for this school year, and left the extras in the store.

  • School starts Wed. for us and we usually hold off on major supplies til AFTER the 1st day of school as the teachers have specific requests.

  • Lmao, we got everything on really good deals, so I didn't see the harm in it & the way i see it the markers & stuff like that (Paper ect) can be used not only for school for my son, or here at the house, but also for my goddaughter who is a teen & is always here after school

  • We always stock up on things like markers, crayons, etc at back to school time. We homeschool so don't have a list, but we still use all the same supplies - just seems like we do more with them than when the kids were in public school.

  • I've only gotten a few things my kids need for school. I normally stock up on the things they go threw the most. Like crayons, pens, pencils, markers, folders and notebooks.
